Boiling Frog and AMIS are not a black box. Our methodology, data sources and thresholds are open. What we measure, you can recompute.
Most market risk tools demand blind trust — "trust the algorithm". We go the opposite way. We show you how we measure, where our data comes from, and why we have no incentive to push you toward any decision.

Our layer weights (35% Macro · 25% Politics · 25% Market · 15% Energy), compound patterns and decay functions are documented and publicly visible. Every KPI has a written spec with formula, thresholds and calibration rationale. When we change the methodology, it's logged in the Methodology Changelog with date and reasoning.
We use only data you can recompute yourself: FRED (US Federal Reserve), US Treasury, EIA energy data, market prices from Stooq and Yahoo, RSS feeds from major news providers. No proprietary data feeds, no "secret-sauce" inputs. Every sub-score shows its source and the timestamp of the last update.
We don't sell you trades. We don't refer you to brokers. We take no commission for recommendations — because we don't make recommendations. Our business model is subscription. That means our only interest is that our risk verdict is as precise and honest as possible. Otherwise you cancel.
A single risk score would be an oversimplification — but behind it sits a four-layer system with 40+ KPIs, five risk channels and three overlays. You can inspect every layer, drill into every sub-score, and even see when the layers disagree. The aggregated score is the front door — not the whole truth.
Every daily snapshot is stored with the exact engine version (git commit hash) and timestamp. If we claim tomorrow that the risk score was 67 on April 12, you can verify that one year later. Audit logs record every calculation — exportable on request.
Boiling Frog observes, evaluates and presents. Boiling Frog does not recommend. Boiling Frog does not know your personal circumstances and does not want to. What we deliver: a neutral risk verdict on the markets. What you do with it is your decision — or your advisor's. This is not legal caution — it's the clean line between information and advice.
Read our methodology. Look at the KPI specs. Download the 2020–2025 backtest. We have no interest in your blind trust — we want you to understand.
From "trust me" to "verify me". That's the difference.
